RWTH announces newly elected Youth and Apprentices Council
The newly elected Youth and Apprentices Council at RWTH Aachen University has now started its two-year term of office. 13 full and two substitute members represent the interests of the university’s approximately 500 trainees and underage employees. The Council is chaired by Patrick Gustav Blaneck; the deputy chairpersons are Lukas Borsch and Marcel Müller.
The Youth and Apprentices Council is involved in shaping the 30 vocational training programs at RWTH. For example, the team takes part in working group meetings and works closely with the Staff Council, the HR Department, and the instructors of the vocational training center. Once a year, the Youth and Apprentices Council invites all trainees at RWTH to a general meeting.
The Council welcomes feedback from trainees about their current services and suggestions on how they can improve their support in the future. It also assists apprentices with problems. In case of any concerns, the Council can be contacted confidentially by email. Third parties, such as the Staff Council or the HR Department – are only consulted on request. Rooms are available at Kackertstrasse 9 if you want to meet and discuss with the Council members in person.
