RWTH Celebrates Radite Adyanawa as DAAD Prize 2024 Recipient
RWTH student Radite Adyanawa has received the DAAD Prize 2024 from the German Academic Exchange Service. He was presented with this award for his excellent academic achievements and his remarkable intercultural commitment. Dr. Henriette Finsterbusch, Head of the International Office at RWTH Aachen University, presented the certificate during Welcome Week. The award comes with prize money of 1,000 euros.
Adyanawa is from Indonesia, he is studying mechanical engineering, and he is involved in a variety of activities. He has been active in the RWTH’s BeBuddy program since 2020, helping eight new international students settle into life in Aachen and at the University. Adyanawa has also been in charge of the bicycle repair shop of the AStA since July 2021. He started out as a volunteer in the Foreigners’ Representation, was the project manager for events and the deputy representative for foreign students. He is currently the project manager for general tasks, and he provides information on residence rights and advocates for the concerns of international students within the student parliament.
With this combination of outstanding academic achievements and extraordinary social commitment, Adyanawa is a role model for around 14,400 international students at RWTH Aachen University.
