RWTH: Consul General of the Republic of India visits RWTH Aachen University
Dr. Amit Telang, Consul General of the Republic of India, now visited RWTH Aachen. Rector Ulrich Rüdiger welcomed Telang in the main building. It was agreed to further intensify the very good relationship.
RWTH is enjoying growing popularity among Indian students with over 1,900 enrollments recently. Embedded in the strategic partnership with the IIT Madras, RWTH is involved in interdisciplinary projects with partners in India, in particular within the framework of the Indo-German Center for Sustainability (IGCS) and the Global Water and Climate Adaptation Center – Aachen, Bangkok, which was newly established in 2021, Chennai, Dresden (ABCD-Center). Numerous research projects, for example in the fields of applied microbiology, textile technology, hydraulic engineering and water management, medical information technology, architecture, materials science and geosciences show the breadth and potential of scientific cooperation. RWTH also underlines the importance of India with a liaison office in New Delhi.
