RWTH: EU delegation at RWTH Aachen University
How does a university like the RWTH already prepare the breeding ground for entrepreneurial thinking among its students, promote the joy of experimentation in order to open up opportunities to start a business out of the university and at the same time manage to expand an industrial research ecosystem based on cutting-edge research ? These topics have now been discussed by the RWTH, including Rector Professor Ulrich Rüdiger, Chancellor Manfred Nettekoven, Vice-Rectors Professor Matthias Wessling and Malte Brettel, Professors Thomas Bergs and Max Lemme, and other scientists with an EU delegation in Aachen.
The EU guests Peter Dröll, Director Prosperity of DG Research & Innovation, Jürgen Tiedje, Head of Industrial Transformation, Liviu Stirbat, Head of Industry 5.0 and Iiro Eerola, Valorisation Policies and IPR, and Andrea Ceglia, DG Research & Innovation, experienced the approaches at the RWTH at the Collective Incubator, at the machine tool laboratory WZL and at AMO GmbH, an institute affiliated with the RWTH, and discussed starting points on the part of the EU to support the universities in their future design.
