RWTH to announce Higher Mathematics Online Course for First-Semester Students

RWTH will once again offer the online course “hm4mint-intensive” from August 1 to September 30, 2023. Students can take the semester module “(Higher) Mathematics 1” here and take the exam before they start their studies.


This exam is recognized by many universities and takes some of the pressure off the first semester in many degree programs.

The course is full-day, and additional classroom tutorials will be offered at RWTH. The final exam will be held on-site in Aachen on Saturday, September 30.

The course will test the use of ChatGPT in teaching, so the chatbot will be used to find content in the virtual classroom faster, have summaries written, and generate typical assignments. Subsequently, the results and experiences will be evaluated.
