Samba: MSME Unit holders imparted training on GeM Portal registration

 

Samba: An online training programme regarding registration on GeM Portal for MSME units was today organised by DIC Samba in collaboration with GeM, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.

Around 60 unit holders of the District participated in the program conducted on the directions of Commissioner/ Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi and under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Rohit Khajuria and Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu, Anoo Malhotra.

At the very outset, the guest training faculty and Incharge GeM for J&K Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, Kush Tyagi provided detailed valuable inputs regarding the introduction and registration on GeM Portal. He informed the participants that the registration on GeM Portal as a seller will provide the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) a platform of fair competitiveness, which will not only ease the buying/ selling process but will make it more transparent and accountable.

The Participants were also informed about the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and various Industrial Schemes being implemented by the Department of Industries for the promotion of Industry besides generating employment opportunities for locals in the district.

General Manager, DIC, Sansar Chand, educated the participants regarding various incentives offered by the Government to the unit holders and various mandatory registrations required by the unit holders.

Representatives of State Taxes Department guided the unit holders about GST and timely return filing and reimbursement of GST, while bankers highlighted the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat Scheme and other schemes meant exclusively for MSMEs.
