Sanction of Research Grant from DST
Aligarh : The Department of Electrical Engineering at Z.H. College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, has announced the receipt of a significant R&D project from the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, valued at Rs. 1,26,99,040/-. This project, under the Climate, Energy, and Sustainable Technology (CEST) division, will focus on developing an off-grid affordable hybrid solar-wind energy conversion system for small rural communities.
Dr. Sheeraz Kirmani, Associate Professor and Principal Investigator, highlighted that this grant marks a historic milestone for the department. The project aims to uplift the living standards and economic conditions of rural communities by providing access to electricity. This initiative underscores our commitment to sustainable technology and community empowerment.
