SAYAJI RAO GAEKWAD LIBRARY OF BHU TO HOST INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION ON DIGITISATION OF LIBRARIES
Varanasi: Central Library of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and INFLIBNET Centre Gandhinagar, Gujarat is jointly organizing three-day 13th International CALIBER Convention from 17th to 19th November 2022. UGC’s Inter-University Center for Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET Centre) works towards modernization of libraries and providing integrated technological services in universities and colleges across the country.
More than 500 participants and subject experts from India and abroad are expected to attend this international convention organized at Swatantra Bhavan of Kashi Hindu University. The main theme of the convention is “Envisioning Digital Transformation in Libraries for NextGen Academic Landscape”. Presentations and papers are related to Libraries for National Education Policy, Emerging Technologies and Trends in Libraries, and Open Science Open Library including Research Data Management. Several speakers and participants are coming from USA, Australia and several countries of African and European countries. Mr. Prashant Pandey, Director of Library Services of Flinders University, Australia will deliver the keynote address at the beginning of the convention. In the convention, while special lectures will be given by 16 guest scholars, there will be 51 research papers and 48 poster presentations. Before concluding on November 19, a panel discussion is also organized among the distinguished scholars.
This convention will be inaugurated on 17 November 2022 at 10:00 am by Professor Pramod Kumar Jain, Director of Indian Institute of Technology (BHU). The chief guest of the valedictory function will be Professor TN Singh, Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Patna.
