SCERT’s 3-day Subject Specific online training concludes

 

JAMMU: The three day subject specific training through online mode on “Teaching of mathematics using pedagogical tools for primary classes” organised by curriculum development and studies wing of SCERT (J & K) Jammu concluded here today.

The training was held in consonance with the directions of Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, Biswajit Kumar Singh and under the guidance of Director SCERT (J&K), Prof. Veena Pandita.

The programme was attended by 50 teachers/Masters from 10 Districts of Jammu Division, five from each District. The participants were trained by the resource Persons having proficiency in mathematics. The resource persons of the programme were Harish Kumar Sharma, Braham Dutt, Sunil Kumar, Ankur Gupta and Ashish Narma.

The trained teachers, masters will act as Key resource persons in their respective districts to train other teachers so that the students may be immensely benefitted with new pedagogical skills.

The purpose of this online training was to enhance and upgrade the teaching skills and to develop competency of the teachers to teach Mathematics using Pedagogical tools to stimulate interest among the students in learning of mathematics.

The programme was coordinated by Ashu Magotra, Sr. Academic Officer SCERT (J&K), Jammu. The technical and logistic support was provided by Aakash Khajuria.

Earlier, the workshop/training was inaugurated by Surinder Kumar, Joint Director SCERT (J&K), Jammu.
