Scholarship sanctioned for the research project by INPAFO

Aligarh : Dr. Sidra Aslam, Junior Resident at the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, AMU has been awarded a scholarship by the Indo-Pacific Association of Forensic Odontology for the academic year 2023-24. Her project titled “Gender Equation: Dento-Metric Analysis of Incisors, Cupids and Molars in Western UP population” under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Anshul Agarwal has garnered recognition.

This achievement is particularly remarkable as it marks the introduction of the PG course in the department. Dr. Sidra’s research explores the significance of tooth morphology in gender identification, crucial in cases of mass casualties and victim identification. Having completed her BDS from ZADC , she joined as part of the batch in September 2023.
