School Education Minister Dr. Chowdhary launches ‘MPAspire’ Portal

Bhopal : The Minister for School Education Dr. Prabhuram Chowdhary launched ‘MPAspire’ portal for the school students of Madhya Pradesh at Mantralaya. He said that the need for this kind of platform was being felt since long time for the children of government schools, through which students could get information about colleges and fee as per their interest. Dr. Chowdhary said that this portal has been prepared by the School Education Department in collaboration with UNICEF. Apart from the career options, this portal will also facilitate students to get information about 6400 colleges and over 1050 entrance examinations. Along with the information pertaining to over 930 scholarships of international level, the portal will also provide information about the institutions engaged in imparting vocational training.

Minister Dr. Chowdhary said that replies to the questions of children, after passing out the higher secondary examination, were not available on a single platform so far. According to survey, about 40 per cent of the students were used to select wrong subject or college in absence of such a platform and later they had to repent. Dr. Chowdhary said that this will not happen in Madhya Pradesh now. He informed that 2 teachers will be selected from each school to provide information obtained from the portal to the students. He further mentioned that Madhya Pradesh will soon emerge as a role model in the country in the field of education.

Portal to be upgraded constantly

The Principal Secretary School Education Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami said that the portal will also be upgraded from time to time to enable the students to get the latest information. She said that it has also been linked to national and international colleges related to various disciplines. Smt. Shami said that the portal will play a guiding role for students in selecting their career.

9500 school students to be benefitted

The Commissioner Public Instruction Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat said that ‘MPAspire’ platform will work as future platform for the students of class 9th to 12th of the government schools. About 23 lakh students of 9500 High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools of the state will be benefitted by this portal. She informed that students can obtain different information from the portal by using their Samagra ID and date of birth. Along with the information on career wikipedia and entrance examinations, detailed college directory has also been made available on the portal. Teachers by login can also satisfy queries and reply to the answers of students.

The Education Expert of UNICEF Shri F.A. Jami, Deputy Secretary Dr. Kamna Acharya and other Senior Officers were present on the occasion.
