School Health Camp organised by Health Department at GHS Gabbar Budhal

 

RAJOURI : Fulfilling the target of holistic health and to provide high quality healthcare services in far flung areas, a school health camp was organised by Health Department Kotranka at Govt High School Gabbar Budhal.

It was the third in the series of School Camps which are being organised every week under the directions of Director Health Services Jammu Dr Saleem Ur Rahman and Dr Hamid Zarger CMO Rajouri.

These weekly camps in all the schools are being directly supervised by Dr Iqbal Malik BMO Kandi.

The medical team interacted with the students and gave information about benefits of balanced diet.

Ayoub Lone, Community Health Officer and Dr Farooq Tatrey gave training for proper technique of hand washing and importance of hygiene for good health.

Health team also talked about adolescent health and menstrual hygiene at the camp. Menstrual napkins were also distributed to the adolescent girls at the camp.

Medical Officers also screened the students for health issues and 44 students were given treatment for their minor ailments on the spot. Free medicines were distributed to the students. In addition, Laboratory tests, HB, blood grouping, iron and calcium tablets were also distributed in the school by RBSK Team.

The students as well as school teacher expressed their thankfulness to health department for this great initiative.
