School of young artisans
Students of the Department of Technology, Fine Arts and Design of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology took part in a master class on lace making.
The Center for Folk Art and Cultural Initiatives of the Republic of Karelia, with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, is implementing the School of Young Craftsmen project. In the fall of 2020, more than 30 videos were filmed by masters of decorative and applied arts of the Republic of Karelia, which introduce viewers to the handicraft culture of Karelia.
One of the heroes of the video is Irina Anatolyevna Vlasova, associate professor of the Department of Technology, Fine Arts and Design .
At the second stage of the project, in order to generate interest in handicraft, handicraft workshops were organized for young people.
On March 25, students of the Department of Technology, Fine Arts and Design attended a master class on bobbin lace making, which took place in the exhibition hall of the House of Crafts, where a personal exhibition of I.A. Vlasova “Do not forbid yourself to create …”.
