Scientists of the Institute of Forest, Mining and Construction Sciences presented the results of the work obtained during the implementation of the international project of the Karelia cross-border cooperation program “Promotion of small and medium-sized businesses in the forestry sector between Karelia in Russia and Finland” at the international conference “Forests of Eurasia – Karelian forests “.

11 reports were made related to the main directions of the project, as well as related issues. Thus, the prospects for international cooperation of small and medium-sized businesses in the provision of forestry and logging services, the possibility of forest inventory interpretation and monitoring of changes in the forest fund based on materials obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles, the prospects for using intelligent control and measurement systems for the effective operation of the harvester were discussed. , new requirements for forest management certification and other issues.

Scientists from Karelia, the Republic of Bashkortostan and Finland took part in the work of the section. A positive assessment was given to the results obtained and ways of further cooperation were outlined.
