Sears Holdings India inaugurates third technology center in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Sears Holdings, a leading integrated retailer with stores across the United States, opened its third Indian offshore center at the Phoenix aVance IT Hub in Hitech City, Hyderabad. The new office was inaugurated by Rakesh Chawla, Vice President and Managing Director of Sears Holdings India (SHI). Also present at the inauguration were senior delegates from SHC US, including Eric Fergusson, Head of Inventory Planning and Sourcing.

Sears Holdings started their first development center in Pune, India in 2009, and launched the second one in Bengaluru in 2015. Teams in India centers work on products and solutions that power applications used by Sears, Kmart and several other brands of Sears Holdings Corporation.

The new 650 seat center, headed by Smita Nair Jain, Senior Divisional Vice President, will provide member focused operational and tech services through offerings such as product and platform development, Analytics, Business Process Management and Knowledge Services.

Rakesh Chawla commented, “SHI continues to focus on enhancing member experience through products built on state of the art technologies and intelligent analytics and machine learning algorithms. Our on-going strategic transformation will provide an integrated model that drives efficiency in pricing, sourcing, supply chain and inventory management.”
