Second Batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management to Begin from January 11, 2022

 

MUMBAI : Following the outstanding response received to the first batch held in March, MVIRDC World Trade Center Mumbai will launch its second batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management from January 11, 2022.

The course curriculum to be covered in over 80 sessions has attracted the attention of young professionals from the ever-growing logistics sector on the back of strong growth in India’s exports, rising private investment in logistics and government’s ambitious logistics spending.

It will address the need for procurement and operation managers both at the domestic and international levels which is on the rise, besides imparting skills essential to overcome the challenges posed by the on-going pandemic.

The thrice-a-week course on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 6PM-8PM (IST) will have industry professionals having several years of real-time hands-on experience as faculty.

The boost to the logistics sector is a fallout of push given by the Indian government to the Rs 100 lakh crore infrastructure development through `Gati Shakti’ leading to ever growing demand for young professionals in the sector.

The course curriculum covers modules Global Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Material Management, Distribution Management, Transactional Logistics, Foreign Trade Policy and international Business including an orientation program, industry case studies and project assignment and assessment of the six module subjects through a written examination.

The topics covered are procurement, storage, transportation, distribution, operations planning, support to company strategy, negotiation, logistics and trade finance, enhancing competitiveness, etc. which are critical focus areas for firms aspiring to globalize their operations.
