Secretariat Assistant Training Courses concludes at IMPARD, Srinagar

 

Srinagar: The Secretariat Assistant Training Courses, one each for Senior Assistants and Junior Assistants, conducted at J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (JKIMPA&RD), Srinagar concluded here today.

The main objective of the training was to familiarize the trainees with the provisions of J&K Manual of Secretariat Procedures, Civil Services Regulations, Financial Code, Budget Manual, Classification Control and Appeal Rules, J&K Employees Conduct Rules and Basic Computer Skills for e-governance enabling them appear in the Departmental Examination of Public Service Commission for their career advancement.

Director General of the Institute, Saurabh Bhagat, who presided over the valedictory function, emphasized upon the importance of training for efficient and effective Public Service Delivery. He reiterated the need to upgrade the skills and knowledge of all functionaries of the government in order to come up to the expectations of the common masses.

Director Trainings, Professor Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, gave a detailed account of the background of SATC conducted by the Institute since 2005 while the participants gave their observations and feedback about the courses.
