Select CITYWALK Mall Wraps Up Another Successful City Literature Fest!
Nexus Select CITYWALK is delighted to conclude the City Literature Fest, a four-day literary extravaganza that took place from September 29th to October 2nd. This event, eagerly awaited by book lovers and creative enthusiasts, brought words, stories, and creativity together in a grand celebration of literature.
The City Literature Fest delivered a diverse range of literary experiences, ensuring there was something for everyone. Attendees were treated to captivating Nukkad Natak performances, enlightening sessions with renowned authors, engaging workshops, and soul-stirring poetry readings. Here’s a recap of the highlights:
Day 1 – September 29th The festival commenced with street theater performances in the form of Nukkad Natak, starting at 12:00 pm. Later in the evening at 6:30 pm, attendees had the privilege of participating in ‘World’s Best Girlfriend: A Session by Durjoy Dutta,’ where they explored the world of romance and storytelling with the renowned author. Following that, ‘Shaam-e-rekhta’ by Rekhta Foundation at 7:30 pm offered an evening dedicated to beautiful Urdu poetry and literature.
Day 2 – September 30th Day 2 was packed with activities, starting with the Tote Bag Painting Workshop at 1:00 pm, allowing participants to unleash their creativity through hands-on painting. Financial wisdom seekers attended ‘Let’s Talk Mutual Funds’ by Monika Halan, gaining valuable insights from a renowned finance writer. All ages enjoyed the Character Meet and Greet with Dog Man, promising a delightful experience. Additionally, thought-provoking discussions on themes of sexuality and self-image with Shashank Gupta and Shibal Bhartiya engaged the audience.
Day 3 – October 1st Day 3 continued the diverse lineup of activities. Starting at 12:00 pm, the Journaling Workshop invited participants to discover the art of journaling and creative expression. At 5:00 pm, ‘Healing Through Crystals: A Session by Master Vani Kabir’ delved into the world of crystal healing and ancient wisdom. At 6:00 pm, attendees had the chance to meet author Satyarth Nayak and gain insights into the world of literary creation during his signing and interview session. The day ended with heart-touching spoken word performances in the form of Spoken Poetry.
Day 4 – October 2nd On the final day of the festival, attendees explored a range of activities. From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the Paper Folding workshop allowed participants to unleash their origami skills in a creative setting. At 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, they had the opportunity to meet author Anchal Malhotra and gain insights into her literary journey during a signing and interview session. To cap off the festivities, ‘Speaking Souls (Open Mic)’ with Mehak Goyal commenced at 5:30 pm onwards, providing a platform for attendees to express themselves through poetry, stories, and more.
