Seminar on “Connecting Science to Society and Culture” under G20 Summit held

 

Aligarh : The University Women’s Polytechnic, AMU, organized a one–day seminar on “Connecting Science to Society and Culture”, under G20 University Connect

Programme. It witnessed sizeable participation of students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

 

Chief Guest on the occasion Prof. Abdul Alim, Dean Student’s Welfare, talked about G20 presidency and how AMU has made significant strides in the implementation of the National Education Policy, marking a major achievement in its educational endeavors.

He also appreciated and encouraged students for their active participation in the events organized under G20 University connect programme.

 

The Resource Person Prof. Farukh Arjmand , Department of Chemistry talked about the role of science in updating knowledge and improving education. She added that advancing AI has enabled us to carry out tasks with high precision including advances of science in healthcare, and medical imaging.

 

Dr. Salma Shaheen, Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic, in her welcome address discussed the relevance of the Seminar under G20 summit and sustainable development goals.

 

The Certificates were distributed to the winners and participants of the events organized under G20 University connect programme.

 

Ms. Amrah Maryam conducted the function while Ms. Syeda Shira Moin introduced the resource person. Ms. Savita Gautam, convener of the programme, proposed the vote of thanks.
