Seminar on Dr. B.R Ambedkar as Architect of Indian Constitution held at GDC Ramban

 

RAMBAN : A one day seminar on the topic “Dr. B.R Ambedkar as Architect of the Indian Constitution” was organized by the GDC, Ramban today to commemorate the 131st birth anniversary of the father of Indian Constitution.

The programme was held under the aegis of the Principal Dr. Ran Vijay Singh and with the active involvement of college Debates and Seminar Committee and department of Political science.

Many students and faculty of the college participated in the program whereas the Convener College Seminars and Debates Committee Prof. Bal Krishan spoke on the contributions of Baba Saheb in the making of Indian constitution. He also highlighted the ideals and objectives of the Indian constitution and said “The constitution is the bedrock of Indian democracy.” Advising the students he further said: “We must be grateful to our country and what it has given to us”.

Lecturer Political Science, Dr. Basharat Rishi also shared his thoughts on the occasion. He delivered an informative talk on guiding principles and fundamental rights enshrined in the Indian constitution. He also gave an account of the biography of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Dr. Vikram Rathore, Prof. Bansilal, Prof Vicky Rattan, Prof. Sameer Ahmed and Physical Director Mr Ramandeep Kralia were among others who actively participated in the program. The program was concluded by the vote of thanks proposed by Younis Ahmed, and Assistant Professor, Zoology.
