Aligarh: Seminar rooms, reading rooms and libraries of various residential halls, departments, colleges and faculties of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will remain closed from April 16 till further orders. The decision has been taken under the Government of India guidelines in view of the nation-wide surge in Covid cases.
A notice from the Office of the Registrar, AMU has also ordered the closure of laboratories and research facilities in various departments and centres from April 16.
“The students are advised to continue classes and research work in the online mode. Deans of faculties, principals of colleges, chairpersons of the departments and directors of different centres are requested to implement the decision,” said AMU Registrar, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS).
