SEPC National Conference on Transforming Higher Education and Skilling Towards Viksit Bharat @2047 Concludes with Focus on Innovation and Global Competitiveness



New Delhi : The Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) hosted the *National Conference on Transforming Higher Education and Skilling Towards Viksit Bharat @2047*, drawing experts, policymakers, and leaders from the education and industry sectors. The event highlighted India’s roadmap to revolutionize higher education and build a skilled workforce ready for global challenges by 2047.

In her keynote address Smt Meenakshi Lekhi Former MoS of Foreign Affairs and culture emphasized the strategic role of skill in shaping India’s future “As we march towards Viksit Bharat @2047, it is crucial to reimagine our education system. The foundation of a strong, competitive India lies in fostering innovation and equipping our youth with skills aligned with future global markets.”

In her special address Dr Pankaj Mittal Secretary General Association of Indian Universities highlighted the importance of EdTech in democratizing education saying that Technology is not just an enabler but a force multiplier in education. EdTech platforms will play a critical role in delivering quality education to every corner of India, breaking barriers of distance and accessibility.

Mr Karan Rathore Chairman, SEPC, stressed the value of international partnerships stressing on Global alliances that are the key to ensuring that Indian education systems remain relevant in the global economy. By forging international partnerships, we can enhance research and skilling initiatives that match world standards.

In her thematic address Dr Vidya Yeravdekar Education Services,Chair SEPC highlighted the future of education lies in innovation and the nation’s youth are the biggest asset for the industry and growth of the economy.

Dr Abhay Sinha Director General SEPC giving his introductory remarks at the National Conference on Transforming Education and skilling towards Viksit Bharat held in New Delhi. He focused on applying new techniques to strengthen education experiences in universities and leveraging the digital era in the education field.

The conference featured keynote sessions, panel discussions, and technical sessions exploring skill competitiveness, transforming learning environments, and innovative approaches to meet evolving global and industry demands. Discussions emphasized India’s potential to harness its demographic dividend by aligning education systems with future industry requirements.
