Seth Anandram Jaipuria School celebrates ‘Community Day’ in association with NITI Aayog

Ghaziabad: Seth Anandram Jaipuria School (SAJS), Vasundhara strives for excellence and provides exposure to the students on latest pedagogic and technological innovations. Encouraging the same, the school recently celebrated ‘Community Day’ under the initiative of NITI Aayog to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Ashish Nayan, Expert- Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Mr. Samrat Kishor, Mentor from NITI Aayog, Government of India.

Principal Cum Director, Mrs. Manju Rana extended a warm welcome to all the participants and briefed the august gathering about Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) initiatives of the school. Various award-winning projects under the flagship of ATL were shared with the participants. She said that the event is aimed at fostering inventiveness and curiosity in young minds as it provides students the opportunity to be creative and imaginative. Around 50 students, parents and community members participated in the event.

The event included various IT sessions, which were carried out by ATL students and teachers involving hands on learning opportunities. They were given basic prototyping material or DIY kits to expose them to the world of designing, thinking, tinkering, and innovation. The officials, Dr. Ashish Nayan and Mr. Samrat Kishor headed the session on technical knowhow of tinkering and future skills such as design and computational thinking.
