Seven-day Hands-on Residential Training Program under STUTI, an initiative of Department of Science & Technology (DST), commences at Amity University

Amity University Uttar Pradesh has been awarded with “Synergistic Training Program Utilizing the Scientific and Technological Infrastructure Programme (STUTI)” by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) as Project Management Unit (PMU). Under the aegis of this prestigious Project- STUTI, Amity Institute of Training and Development (AITD) Amity University Uttar Pradesh, is organizing a 7 Day Residential Training Program on the theme “Hands-on Training on Cellular and Molecular Instrumentation”, fully sponsored by Department of Science and Technology (DST) under Synergistic Training Program Utilizing the Scientific and Technological Infrastructure (STUTI) from 24th to 30th May, 2022.

Emphasizing on the importance of this programme, Shri S. S. Kohli, Head, R&D Infrastructure DST, Government of India, stated, “This programme is unique as it enables the researchers and students to acquire knowledge about various state-of the -art technological equipments and learn about their usage which will help in leading the country towards development in the field of research and innovation in our country. Through this Programme, more than 7,500 students have already visited different labs and facilities across the country and received hands-on training. The participants will also get an opportunity to interact with some of the best scientists and professors and gain immense knowledge about the new techniques. We intend to focus on developing five categories of R&D facilities- Fund for Improvement of Science & Technology(FIST) Facility Base, Sophisticated Analytical & Technical Help Institutes(SATHI) Facility Base, Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE), Consolidation of University Research for Innovation & Excellence in Women Universities (CURIE) and Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facilities(SAIF).” He also proposed to conduct more such programs with Amity in the near future.

Highlighting the significance of the Programme, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, said, “This Programme is of great significance as our mission is to make India a knowledge super power by 2030.
