Shab e Mehraj arrangements reviewed at Anantnag

Anantnag: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Anshul Garg, today, chaired a meeting of the concerned officers convened to review the arrangements for the forthcoming Shab e Mehraj here at DC office Anantnag.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure, among other things, the proper water and power supply with provision for adequate backup facilities, food supplies, traffic facilities, fire fighting and medical care services besides proper security arrangements so that the people do not face any issues. “The people should not suffer un-necessarily on this holy occasion” , he added.

During the proceedings, public delegations & Auqaf Committees from Khiram and Kabamarg Dargahs raised some issues regarding basic services. Mr Garg issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for reddressal of the genuine issues.

The meeting was attended by ADC (G), concerned officers of Police, Health, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, PHE, PDD, Revenue, Transport, Fisheries, Food, Fire & Emergency Services, Legal Metrology, Municipalities, Waqaf representatives of Khiram & Kabamarg Dargahs, public delegations and Auqaf Committee members from different areas of the district.
