Shahan Usmani, Abusaad Khan and Zohaib Mohammad stood first, second and third respectively in the online ‘English Speech’ competition of the Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School-Boys,  AMU held to observe the Nation-wide, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav’

 

Aligarh : Shahan Usmani, Abusaad Khan and Zohaib Mohammad stood first, second and third respectively in the online ‘English Speech’ competition of the Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School-Boys, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) held to observe the Nation-wide, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav’.

Mohammad Khalid won the Hindi speech competition in which Mohd Faizan was placed second and Yash Varshney finished third. Sarim Kaunain was declared the winner of the Urdu speech contest with Kaif Ali in second place.

Musadiq Mushtaq’s poetry won him the first prize in the English category of the Self Composed Poem competition. Md Ghalib Hussain and Waqas Younus Wani were placed second and third respectively.

Yash Varshney won the poetry competition in the Hindi category; while Md Ghalib Hussain, Naseem Akhter and M A Altamash stood first, second and third respectively in Urdu poetry.

Vikas Yadav triumphed in the Creative Writing contest ahead of Md Ghalib Hussain (Second) and Sarim Kaunain (Third); Muhammad Muaz won the Instrumental Music event; Sarim Kaunain and M A Altamash finished first and second respectively in Ghazal singing; M A Altamash won the Logo Design competition with Anas Alam Ansari and Shahan Usmani as the respective first and second runner-ups; M Aroosh Javed bagged the first prize in slogan writing contest which had Abusaad Khan finishing second and Yash Varshney on the third place; Kushagra Varshney, Arbab Ahmed and Md Belal Ansari were declared first, second and third in the Poster Drawing competition and Zohaib Mohammad was the winner of Patriotic Songs contest which had Mohd Faizan and Mohd Khalid as the first and second runner-ups.

Congratulating the winners, Dr S M Mustafa (Principal, Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School-Boys) said that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an intensive, country-wide campaign aimed at citizen participation and particularly helping students to understand the importance of India’s Independence.

Dr Sabiha A Salam (Officiating Vice Principal), Nagma, Raina Reza and Lt Najaf Ali Khan and school teachers spoke on the sacrifices made by Freedom Fighters.

Mohd Ayub (PGT Urdu) and Zainab Waseem (PGT Biology) conducted the programs. Dr Ghazala Rashid declared the results.
