Shaping Tomorrow’s Climate Guardians: Cambridge University Press & Assessment Introduces “Cambridge Climate Quest” – An Innovative Educational Initiative
New Delhi: Cambridge University Press & Assessment, in partnership with Cambridge Zero, today announced the launch of an innovative educational initiative, “Cambridge Climate Quest,” at the School Education Conference held by British Council in association with CBSE. This is a first-of-its-kind launched in India, which represents a major step forward in promoting climate awareness and proactive engagement on a widespread scale.
Cambridge Climate Quest is a comprehensive learning programme that provides learners from Classes 8 through 12 with a foundational awareness of climate change issues. Developed in collaboration with Cambridge Zero, a University of Cambridge’s response to the climate crisis, the programme aligns closely with the National Curriculum Framework for school education that is aimed at making India’s youth climate-aware and foster climate action at the grassroots level. The programme envisions climate education as an interdisciplinary pursuit, integrating diverse domains of the curriculum.

The course offers:
- This programme is introduced as a free course, available to students enrolled in all educational boards.

In its first phase, Cambridge Climate Quest is set to forge connections with an impressive network of 500 schools, actively involving around 50,000 enthusiastic learners. This strategic outreach underscores our commitment to initiating a transformative and impactful journey towards a sustainable future, cementing Cambridge’s pivotal role in shaping the environmental leaders of tomorrow.
This programme will evolve over time to shape climate action and leadership through scientific, empathetic, simple as well as effective means and strategies.
