Sharda University Organized an orientation programme for the newly admitted students

Sharda University organized an orientation programme for the newly admitted students in which 10,000 students and their parents participated. The Orientation program was organized for more than 4000 newly admitted students from Management, Law, Engineering, Agriculture, Humanities allied, Health and Business etc. The inaugural of the program was done by lighting the lamp by chief guest Dr. Sanjeev K Varshney, Advisor and Head International Cooperation Division DST, New Delhi, Hari Om Gandhi; Sr. Commandant CISF, Greater Noida. Chancellor of Sharda University PK Gupta, Pro Chancellor YK Gupta and Vice Chancellor Prof. Sibaram Khara was also the speaker on the occasion.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sibaram Khara delivered the welcome address. He informed the students about the quality holistic education available at Sharda University. He also gave an overview of life at sharda and familiarized them with the various facilities, amenities and world – class infrastructure of the University. He urged the students to follow the rules and guidelines set by the university diligently.

Congratulating the students, Hon’ble Chancellor of Sharda University PK Gupta said that the day of orientation is important for every student. Giving advice to the students, PK Gupta said that it is very important to have a goal in life, unless you don’t have a goal you will have a hard time achieving success. The future of India today depends on all the young students and all of you have to act like a global leader on the whole world. He also said that one should always be passionate about his studies

Addressing the students Dr. Sanjeev K Varshney Advisor and Head International Cooperation Division DST said the basic purpose of the University is to create knowledge, you need to see how that knowledge could be brought to human society. Bookish knowledge will always be there but give a try to curiosity, curiosity will take you beyond. Constant learning and improving for everyone is important because we are learners, everyone should learn from their previous experience. Students should also learn how to overcome failure. Failures are part of research and everyone is capable. The main thing is to get proper guidance and mentorship.

Hariom Gandhi Sr. Commandant CISF, Greater Noida gave the information about the increasing problem of Drug cases in Youth. He asked the students to work on the root cause of Drug abuse and follow the path of Healthy living and giving time to yourself is the most important aspect of our life. Involve yourself in doing positive things, do social activities and surround yourself with positive people who give good advice. Self-Love is also the most important thing in life which will keep yourself happy. For stress relief do meditation and say no to drugs.

During the orientation cultural programme was also organized by students. On the occasion students, Faculties and staff member were also present.
