Sharvaanica wins Bronze in U-8 girls World Rapid Championship held at Batumi, Georgia
Hyderabad : Sharvaanica A.S aged 8 wins bronze by finishing third in the U-8 girls world rapid championship which was held in Batumi, Georgia from June 5 to 12. Thanks to the exhaustive training received at Hatsun Chess Academy, Sharvaanica ably competed against the 20 players in her category.
In December, Sharvaanica emerged as the Champion in three formats of 16th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2022 held in Srilanka. Shaarvanica won three titles in the categories namely Asian Schools U 7 rapid champion, Asian Schools U 7 Blitz champion and Asian Schools U 7 Champion classical.
Speaking on the occasion Grandmaster V Vishnu Prasanna, Head Coach, Hatsun Chess Academy said “It is a matter of great pride for us that Sharvaanica finished 3rd in U-8 girls world rapid championship held at Batumi, Georgia. She has been consistently increasing her medal count, year on year. Sharvaanica hails from Udayarpalayam, a small village in Ariyalur district and through this tournament she got to interact with people from 10 different nationalities, which is sure to increase her chess playing skills and get exposed to different techniques,”
