Shillong is all set to host the two days G20 “Space Economy Leaders Meeting” to be held on 17th and 18th of this month. G20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant, Union Minister of State in-charge Prime Minister Office, Dr Jitendra Singh and Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma will be attending the inaugural function to be held on Monday.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) of the Department of Space is organising the precursor event of the fourth edition of Space Economy Leaders Meeting (SELM with active support from Government of Meghalaya and India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
Ambassadors, High Commissioners and senior diplomats of G20 and invited countries are participating in this event. Talking to reporters, Principal Secretary, P. Shakeel Ahmed informed that representative from the Space Agency of Russia, Chinese Government, Ministers and around ten Ambassadors will be attending the meeting.
He said that this kind of event would help in projecting modeling for the changing nature.
