Shilpgram becomes the centre of attraction for people : Huge crowd of people turn up to have a glimpse of Chhattisgarhi art and culture

Not only the performances of the artists from various states of India and abroad are mesmerizing the attendees of National Tribal Dance Fest at Science College Ground of Raipur, but also the live exhibition and vibrant models of tribal culture, folk art and tribal lifestyle has become the centre of attraction for people.
Magnificent gate and ‘Shilpgram’- the exhibition of Chhattisgarhi art and culture at National Tribal Dance Fest is a treat for art-lovers. Large number of attendees of the fest is visiting Shilpgram and appreciating the indigenous art and culture.
In Shilpgram, dresses made by weavers, various traditional artifacts made of brass, iron, bell metal bamboo and clay have also been put on display for sale. Total 36 stalls have been put up in the Shilpgram, which includes 14 stalls of handloom weavers, 12 stalls of handicraft items, 4 stalls of Matikala board, one of Silk Department and two of Khadigram Board. Bhitti Chitra has been prominently displayed in Khadigram Board’s stall. Guest participants and people of Raipur are appreciating Shilpgram and the products displayed. On the first day itself, handicraft items worth nearly Rs four lakhs was sold in Shilpgram. Today, Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, guests and a largenumber of citizens visited the exhibition and Shilpgram.
