SHRM India Tech conference 2021: A deep dive into how work, exponentiated by technology is shaping the workplace of the future
New Delhi: SHRM India’s Technology Conference and Exposition was successfully inaugurated today. The two day virtual conference with the theme “Work Exponentiated” will witness over 2000 attendees, 120+ HR experts across the globe who will discuss path breaking innovations, evolving people practices and cutting-edge technologies that shape Work, the Worker and the Workplace
Addressing this year’s delegates and participants in her opening address, Ms. Achal Khanna, CEO – SHRM India and Business head – APAC & MENA, Said, “The disruption due to the pandemic presented a tough challenge for the HR fraternity. HR had risen to the occasion and has expanded its reach, accomplishing more than what was possible in the last year. There are more challenges to be faced as we move ahead and organisations that adopt technology to support people managers will survive. The future of work depends heavily on technology. Over the next two days, the conference will witness powerful sessions by eminent HR experts from all over the world to discuss extensively how work exponentiated by technology will help in business strategies of organisations”.
The opening Keynote session saw Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., SHRM-SCP President & CEO, SHRM and Nitin Rakesh, Chief Executive Officer And Executive Director, Mphasis deliberate on “People, Tech and Success: The Perfect Partnership”. The discussion highlighted the fundamental role of technology in business strategies.
In a special talk, “Work and Tech: Shaping the New World Order”, leading experts discussed how the world is rapidly changing and in the new world order an engaged workforce powered by inspiring technology would be key differentiators.
