Siberian Federal University: Case-championship in economics and entrepreneurship

Siberian Federal University is holding a regional stage of the case-championship for schoolchildren in economics and entrepreneurship which gives children the opportunity to try themselves in solving real business problems, as well as declare their own business projects in areas that are relevant for the development of the region.

The teams’ analysis of practical cases is an effective way of teaching the basics of entrepreneurship and developing the skills necessary for successful entrepreneurship: communication, cooperation, leadership qualities, creative and critical thinking. Participation in such events forms a positive image of an entrepreneur among children and contributes to the involvement of citizens in the small and medium-sized business sector in the long run.

The general partners of the case-championship are the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, McKinsey&Company international consulting firm, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

To participate in the regional stage at SibFU, 28 teams were selected in Krasnoyarsk Territory and other regions: Novosibirsk Region, Irkutsk Region, the republics of Tyva and Buryatia and the team from Mongolia. Regional case-championships will be held in October 2021 in 22 cities of all federal districts of the Russian Federation on the basis of leading Russian universities. The leaders of the regional case championships in November 2021 will be invited to the final case championship in Moscow.
