Siberian Federal University Scientists Among The Best Researchers in the World
SibFU scientists have again reached the top in a number of scientific fields in the ranking of the leading international academic platform for researchers research.com.
The rating is based on scientometric indicators — the Hirsch index, citation and number of publications were taken into account. The representatives of Siberian Federal University entered the rating traditionally in three areas.
In Environmental Science:
2nd place in Russia and 3525 in the world – the Scientific Adviser of Siberian Federal University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Eugene Vaganov;
4th in Russia and 4747 in the world — Professor Nikolay Yerkaev, School of Engineering Physics and Radio Electronics;
10th in Russia and 7614 in the world — Professor Alexandra Kirdyanova, School of Ecology and Geography.
In Chemistry:
6th place in Russia and 3637 in the world — Associate Professor Maxim Molokeev, School of Engineering Physics and Radio Electronics.
In Ecology and evolution:
1st place (the only one among Russian scientists) and 5553 in the world — Professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mikhail Gladyshev, School of Fundamental Biology and Biotechnology.
Russian scientists entered the rating in such areas as Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, Engineering and Technology, Aerospace Research, as well as Mathematics, Business and Management.
The rating of universities, as well as ratings of international scientific publications and symposiums are given separately. SibFU entered the overall rating for the same areas:
in Environmental Science — 1st place in Russia (second place — MSU) and 479 in the world;
in Chemistry — 8th place in Russia and 990 in the world;
in Ecology and evolution — 1st place (and the only one) in Russia and 635 in the world.
