Siberian Federal University: SibFU enters the American ranking of the best universities in the world
Siberian Federal University has entered the U.S. News Best Global Universities rankings of the U.S. News & World Report media company. The eighth version of the rankings was published on 25 October 2021.
The overall ranking of the world’s best universities includes 1,750 of the best educational institutions and covers more than 90 countries.
SibFU first got on the radars of this ranking in 2019. This year, it returned to the number of global universities, taking 1548 place in the world and 21 in Russia. The overall score increased from 17.9 to 26.7 in comparison to 2019, thanks to an improvement in the university’s position in such indicators as research reputation and international cooperation.
The first release of the U.S. The News Best Global Universities rankings was published in 2014 and still has a reputation as the authoritative tool for applicants when choosing universities. The compilers emphasize that more and more applicants are focused on choosing a place to study outside their country, and the Global Universities ranking provides a broader picture based on indicators of reputation and research activity.
