Siberian Federal University: SibFU hosts a school on deep processing of hydrocarbons for young scientists
On 6-11 September 2022, SibFU hosts the 6th School of Young Scientists on The New Catalytic Processes of Deep Processing of Hydrocarbon Raw Materials and Biomass. Among the speakers there are experts from all over Siberia, Moscow, and St. Petersburg.
The school discusses deep processing of petroleum, coal, vegetable, microbiological raw materials and organic waste. The event is organized by the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Centre (SB RAS), Siberian Federal University, Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of SB RAS, the Russian Science Foundation, the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of SB RAS.
The project is intended not only as an educational event, it is also aimed at strengthening interdisciplinary ties both within the scientific community and with the representatives of industrial enterprises. The attendees work through the issues of the efficiency of the extractive and processing companies in the petroleum industry.
“Various experts attend the school to exchange their first-hand experience within live interaction. Nowadays, the issues recycling and reuse are topical all over the world. Thus, the school contributes to the development of strategically important areas for the country,” noted Valentin Parmon, vice-president of SB RAS, scientific adviser to Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of SB RAS (Novosibirsk).
The event will hold a series of lectures about new approaches to environmentally friendly and resource-saving energy; development of technological foundations for the process of deep recycling; extraction, obtaining, preparation and study of the composition of raw materials, etc.
After the conference, the proceedings will be published. In addition, all participants can submit their articles for publication in the Catalysis in Industry journals and Chemistry Journal of Siberian Federal University.
