First of all, Anna noted the assistance provided to the camp participants by students and lecturers of the University of Belgrade in studying the features of the region.

“Together, we explored the various regions of this country, natural sites, impressive history and were completely immersed in the culture of the Serbian people. In particular, for the report on the internship, I will prepare a section on hydrology and water bodies in Serbia” said Anna. “To be honest, I had no idea that I would learn so much about this wonderful country and get such a colossal experience that reveals the Balkans for a young researcher from a completely different perspective. During the trip, we visited the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center, which has become a vivid example of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. In addition, the RGS program made it possible to bridge ties with activists from Serbia from various regions of Russia, which should contribute to the further development of joint activities and the exchange of experience in the scientific and public spheres.”

Mirolyub Milinchich, head of the RGS Centre in Serbia, says that the organization has already made a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation and continues efforts to study and preserve the Russian cultural heritage in the Balkans and to bring closer and mutually enrich the cultures of the two peoples.

“Our international camp is an effective mechanism aimed at bringing together young people, the academic community, and all people who support the development of friendly ties between Serbia and Russia,” he said.
