Siberian Federal University: SIBFU Students — Silver Medalists of the International CASE-IN Championship
TMNT team of 3rd and 4th year students of the CDIO Bachelor’s Degree Department of the School of Non-Ferrous Metals and Materials Science, SibFU, took II place in the final of the 10thInternational Engineering CASE-IN Championship. The championship final was held on 25-27 May 2022 in Moscow.
The CASE-IN Championship is an international system of competitions for solving engineering cases among schoolchildren, students and young specialists of fuel and energy and mineral resource complexes, nuclear industry and related industries. 600 students of industry-specific universities and young specialists from 42 regions of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan demonstrated innovative developments on the topic of Industry 4.0 to the industry community and competed for the main prizes of the anniversary season.
SibFU was represented by Pavel Zinatullin, Kristina Semyonova, Anzhelika Starovoytova, Anghelina Chan. They honorably coped with all the proposed cases and received the opportunity to undertake an internship with subsequent employment in engineering positions at RUSAL JSC. Pavel Zinatullin won in the nomination “Love of Experts”.
“We got a lot of experience and a flurry of emotions. Our field had got 9 teams of students from universities of Belarus, Kazakhstan and all over Russia. After the defense, there were a lot of interactive platforms that helped to relax, cheer up and get acquainted with companies that we had not even heard of before. Representatives of RUSAL met us after the awarding ceremony and said they would help us find employment. The prizes are very cool and diverse — from pens and notebooks to smart watches and travel around Russia. We hope to reach the final once again and take not the second, but the victorious first place,” said Anzhelika Starovoytova, student of the School of Non-Ferrous Metals.
The CASE-IN championship is included in Russia– a Country of Opportunities presidential platform and is implemented within the framework of the Social Lifts for Everyone federal project of the Education national project. The national partners of the championship: the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of the Russian Federation, Russia – a Country of Opportunities ANO, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Centre for Assistance to Young Professionals.
