On 20 January 2023, Siberian Federal University hosted a meeting of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists under the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory, chaired by Alexander Uss, the head of the region. Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Fund of Science and Technology Support also took part in the meeting.

The meeting summed up the results of last year and outlined an action plan for 2023. The Council plans to hold several events, the purpose of which is to popularize scientific activity among students. For instance, within the framework of KEF 2023, the organizers will hold a round table on the topic “Young scientists in solving the socio-economic problems of the Yenisey Siberia macroregion”. The Yenisey Siberia REC is reviving the School of Young Scientists, where they will teach how to write good scientific articles, apply for grants and present projects. In addition, an expanded representation of the Council is planned for the Biryusa Territory of Initiative Youth during the federal change this year.

“The Council of Young Scientists managed to do a lot over the past year. In particular, relations were built with the Youth Parliament at the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Regional Scientific Foundation and councils of young scientists from other territories that are part of the Yenisey Siberia macroregion. In addition, we took part in events of the All-Russian level — Science of the Future, Science of the Youth conference, the Technoprom 2022 forum, Biryusa educational forum and the congress of young scientists in the Sirius Educational Centre. All this made it possible to establish communication with colleagues from all over the country and plan several projects for this year,” said Konstantin Kistersky, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists.

The Council of Young Scientists and Specialists under the Governor includes representatives of the Yenisey Siberia regions — Krasnoyarsk Territory, Khakassia and Tyva.
