Sikkim Chief Minister met with around 40 patients from Sikkim

New Delhi: During the official tour of National capital (20th -21stMarch,2021) New Delhi, Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) met with around 40 patients from Sikkim who are undergoing treatment there and wished them for speedy recovery.

Chief Minister interacted with patients and their families, expressed his concerns regarding their health, and also enquired about the treatment provided at the hospital. He was briefed with a comprehensive report concerning the patients by the Resident Commissioner Shri Ashwini Chand and Special Commissioner Monilsha Das and Incharge DKK Bhawan Shri Hemchandra Subba. He was also informed about the facilities given by the Office of Resident Commissioner, New Delhi. As token of encouragement, he offered goodies and financial support to the patients from the Chief Minister Relief Fund.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) said, “I hope everyone will recover soon and lead a healthy life.” He further reassured the patients, who have come to Delhi for treatment from Sikkim that the government is fully supportive and is continuously working to improve the healthcare system within the state as well.

This is not the first time that Hon’ble Chief Minister is meeting patients in Delhi. Every time, he comes for an official tour to New Delhi, he takes time out from his busy schedule to meet with the people of his state at the Old Sikkim House and provide them with required assistance. Hon’ble Chief Minister is well-known for his generosity and has been often seen donating much of his salary for the welfare of the people.

The event concluded after the lunch was hosted by Hon’ble Chief Minister. The patients expressed their heartfelt gratitude to HCM for his humanitarian aid and care.
