Sikkim Chief Secretary convened the State Task Force Meeting today

Gangtok:  Chief Secretary Shri S.C. Gupta convened the State Task Force Meeting today to discuss the final preparations being made to facilitate the systematic return of the people of Sikkim as per the details being received on the online registration portal.
The Chief Secretary informed that the portal is active and has been receiving quite a few registrations from other States.
The Chief Secretary solicited the views of the District Collectors and SPs on the following issues:
1. Inter District and Intra District movement of stranded people.
2. Registration of outbound stranded people of other States.
3. Briefing on the quarantine arrangements.
4. Vehicle movement regulation, post 3rd of May, 2020.
The District Collectors shared the action taken on the above points in their respective districts.
Based on the views shared by the District Collectors and detailed discussion with members of the State Task Force, the Chief Secretary gave specific directives with regard to facilitation of smooth implementation of the above points. This was done in order to ensure that adequate safety norms are adhered to, while at the same time people are not inconvenienced.
The Chief Secretary categorically stated that there should not be any role ambiguity and each and every activity should be carried out with utmost coordination.
