Silver Jubilee Reunion celebration
Aligarh : The 1997 batch alumni of Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), AMU, held Silver Jubilee Reunion celebration. Alumni from India, Australia, Canada, Europe, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE and USA attended the event.
Addressing the audience, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Tariq Mansoor pointed out that he has met more AMU Engineering graduates during his visit to various places in the world rather than of other courses. He also appealed to the alumni to lend a helping hand to ZHCET.
The Principal ZHCET, Prof MM Sufyan Beg spoke about the need for proper representation of the institution in all the media platforms. The need of the hour is to reconnect with the Alma Mater and engage with alumni.
Prof Altamush Siddiqui, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology also appealed the alumni to help the institution. The alumni were represented by Shuja Mirza, an alumnus of the 1997 batch, who sent a message of positivity, shedding prejudices and helping others.
The alumni also addressed the current engineering students, sharing their experiences on entrepreneurship, start-up funding, tips on finding a dream job, immigration and qualifying in competitive exams.
The event brought back memories of the college days among attending alumni. They pledged continued pay back to the Alma Matar and support for ZHCET in the future.
