SIMATS Celebrates 75 years of Independence Day with Patriotic Passion

Chennai : While Indians across the world enthusiastically celebrated the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, SIMATS School of Engineering along with SIMATS University celebrated in the SIMATS Thandalam campus by hoisting the national flag and singing the national anthem. Esteemed Chancellor of SIMATS Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan hoisted the tricolour flag at the SIMATS Sports Complex while Dr. Chadaram Shivaji, the Vice – Chancellor of SIMATS and Dr. Sheeja the Registrar Academics of SIMATS graced the occasion with their presence. Mr. Vaalvemaraja, Dean Sports organized various events for the students and faculties bringing out their sportsmanship.

Later, students of SIMATS presented cultural programmes portraying various themes of Independent India. SIMATS School of Engineering also hosted a number of events for students as part of Azadika Amrit Mahotsav’s HAR GHAR TIRANGA initiative, and certificates were given to enthusiastic participants and winners. A large number of SIMATS faculties and students attended the colourful event.
