SINE-IIT Bombay and WEE foundation announce the launch of Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Mentorship Program
Mumbai: In its effort to encourage and foster Women entrepreneurship, Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SINE)-IIT Bombay has joined hands with Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment (WEE) foundation in its initiative called Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Mentorship Program, with support from Department of Science and Technology (DST) and NITI Aayog.
The program was launched successfully on Oct, 7th , 2018, with participation of 30 women entrepreneurs. The launch was attended by Prof.Devang Khakhar, Director-IIT Bombay, Poyni Bhatt CEO-SINE, Dr. Sarandeep Singh and Aparna Saraogi, Co founders-WEE foundation and Mr. Rohitash Gupta CFO-eclerx.
Objective
The comprehensive WEE Mentorship program spread over 8 sessions endeavors to get more women into the start-up ecosystem. This also aligns with Make in India, initiative of Govt of India. The aim of the mentoring program is to strengthen women entrepreneurs both in Rural and Urban India.
• Support 30 women in their entrepreneurship journey, by providing mentorship.
• Encouraging more women for taking up entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
