SKKU: Han Jeung-Hwan, Dean of Pharmacy won the Odang Academic Award of the Korean Pharmaceutical Association

Han Jeung-hwan, Dean of the Department of Pharmacy, received the Odang Academic Award at 2021 Korean Pharmaceutical Association Autumn International Conference (75th anniversary) held at Jeonbuk National University located in Jeonju from December 20th to 22nd.



Odang Academic Award has been presented by Odang Lee Sang-seop, Seoul National University Honorary Professor every year since 2010, selecting and awarding one person with outstanding international research achievements in chemistry and international biology field, and is the third Korean award.



Dean Han was selected as the winner of this year’s award in the field of biopharmaceuticals, recognized by his global research achievements, gave an award-winning lecture under the theme of “mTOR/S6K1 Signal Transfer System and transduction network study of Epigenetics.”



Dean Han is the first (year 2010-2019) and second (year 2019-2026) director of the Medical Research Center, which is a research project of Ministry of Science, has been leading our country’s study field in epigenetics, and was selected as an outstanding research project in epigenetics field with his research achievements he has achieved in 2017. Moreover, he is now contributing in our country’s science development, as he was selected as a regular member of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology in 2018.
