SKKU: Professor Young-Ho Lee, elected as president of the Society for the Translation of Korean Classics

Young-Ho Lee, a professor of the Academy of East Asian Studies, was elected as the president of the Society for the Translation of Korean Classics in 2022. The term of office is for two years from January 1, 2022.



The Society for the Translation of Korean Classics is an academic association organized to academically translate classical references, which are intellectual cultural heritages of Korea, and to develop a theoretical foundation and incorporate them in the translation field.



The Society for the Translation of Korean Classics not only publishes the journal, “Research on Classical Translation” but also leads research on classical Korean translation by gathering academic figures who majored in Chinses classics and in translation, including experts in the Institute for the Translation of Korea Classics, to produce excellent translations, and review/evaluate various translations.
