SKUAST organizes online lecture on “Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research and Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships”

 

JAMMU : The Counselling and Placement Cell in collaboration with NAHEP-IDP SKUAST Jammu under the guidance of Prof. J P Sharma, Vice Chancellor organized online lecture for the students and faculty members on “Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research and Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships”.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Inumulu Jaya Bharti, Programme Coordinator-Indian Programme, United States-India Educational Foundation (Fulbright-Commission), New Delhi. Dr. Jaya in her talk highlighted that these fellowships are designed for Indian faculty and researchers who are in the early stages of their research careers and gave an overview of eligibility criteria and general prerequisites for these fellowships. She added that the Postdoctoral Research Fellowships provide opportunities to talented faculty and researchers to strengthen their research capacities.

Further adding that postdoctoral fellows will have access to some of the finest resources in their areas of interest and will help build long-term collaborative relationships with U.S. faculty and institutions and the duration of these fellowships is from eight to 24 months.

Dr. Jaya also interacted with participants and answered their queries about these fellowships. The lecture was attended by both students and faculty members and convened by Prof. Sanjay Guleria, Incharge, Counselling & Placement Cell and Associated Scientist NAHEP-IDP.
