Pune: The Market leader in Energy Analytics and a SCCN core team member – Ecolibrium Energy, had its path breaking SmartSense Enterprise Analytics Package recently launched at MIT Pune, by Hon. Union HRD Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar.
SmartSense will provide MIT with intelligence to optimize energy costs and asset uptime, saving up to 15% of energy and asset maintenance spends. This first of its kind comprehensive package uses predictive insights and Internet of Things (IOT) infrastructure, with Big Data Analytics, for real time monitoring of energy consumption patterns. `
The SCCN Project will serve as a model for Smart Cities and is a part of the Digital India Campaign of the Government of India. It will also offer the students an opportunity to learn about Energy Analytics by using their own campus data and help them develop their knowledge and skills in the field of IOT and emerging technology applications for Smart Cities.
Harit Soni, Founder and Director, Ecolibrium Energy at the launch commented, “Today buildings and college campuses consume huge amounts of energy, and there is an urgent need to make them smarter by utilizing IOT and Data Analytics for energy optimization. ‘Smart Campus’ initiative is an extension of smart buildings and we are very excited to create Smart Campuses all over the world. This not only helps establish a model for Smart Cities, but more importantly also provides each student a platform to develop Energy Analytics and Smart City applications through a hands-on experience provided by the Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN)”.
In the past, Ecolibrium has successfully implemented the SmartSense Enterprise Analytics package at Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB). The predictive analytics has helped the campus immensely in understanding their energy consumption and ensuring that energy and maintenance costs are optimized. It has also helped the students get hands on experience in Data Analytics for Smart Cities.
