Social Justice Ministry to hold interaction with NCC Cadets on Sep 12

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will organise an interaction with NCC Cadets and Pledge against drug abuse in Delhi on Sep 12.

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar will jointly preside over the interaction event.

NCC cadets and youth along with all 17 NCC State Directorates across the country are expected to join the event through live streaming.

The event is being organised considering the urgent need to convey the dangerous implications of the menace of drugs to youth and recognise the huge influence of the NCC among the youth.

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment is the nodal department for Drug Demand Reduction. To create awareness among youth, children, and the community, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was launched on the 15th of August, 2020 in 272 districts.

So far, more than eight crore people including three crore youths, two crore women, and 1.59 lakh educational institutions have become a part of the Abhiyaan. Social Justice Ministry to hold interaction with NCC Cadets on Sep 12
