Somaiya Vidyavihar announces the 4th Edition of Darwin to nucleate and nurture technology in the areas of biotechnology
Mumbai : Darwin, an International Conference and One of India’s Biggest Evolutionary Movements in Biology, introduces its fourth edition with a line-up of various events. It aims to promote Open Science by bridging the gap between researchers and DIY Bio-enthusiasts. The conference is conducted at no cost to sensitise and financially support the Bio-community by providing scholarships and project funds to sustain Biolabs, as well as Biohackers, while promoting research culture globally. An initiative of Somaiya Vidyavihar, the international conference is organised by Bioriidl, an extension of Research Innovation Incubation Design Laboratory (riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar), a not-for-profit organisation under Somaiya Trust.
This year the conference is to be held in hybrid mode from 3rd Feb – 5th Feb 2023. There are no offline workshops in this edition, instead, there are going to be 10 online workshops across 2 days (3rd & 4th Feb). The three-day conference will strive to encourage problem-solving through imagination, innovation, science and research.
This global celebration of biology by research enthusiasts facilitated through a panel of industry experts and renowned scientists, sharing cutting-edge research topics, talk sessions by established biologists, hands-on workshops, tours, a Research Symposium – a paper presentation competition and Biohackathon – a hackathon to solve problems of the world biologically will be centred around Sustainable Biotechnology. It has witnessed an overwhelming participation from 44+ countries across the globe.
